BITTMAN TAKES ON AMERICA'S CHEFS

The Manhattanite Bittman appears lost in Brooklyn, where Al di La chef Klinger runs her charming trattoria with the aid of her husband Emilio and their toddler Sasha.

On the cold winter, Anna assembles the loveliest beet ravioli imaginable, doused in butter and finished with poppy seeds. Bittman acquits himself nicely with a simple, seasonal, and traditional pasta with cabbage and anchovies.

The two then continue the winter theme, Klinger with braised rabbit and Bittman with a classic chicken cacciatore, done, as he says "the real way."
